I Vidra sono un duo musicale italiano formatosi nell'estate 2006 dall'incontro tra Antonella "Giga" Gigantino (poetessa e vocalist) e Francesco "Frencio" Fecondo (tastierista e compositore). Inizialmente si orientano verso sonorità elettroniche di matrice anglosassone, simili a Eurythmics e Yazoo, per poi evolvere verso un Pop d'autore italiano senza abbandonare l'interesse per le tecnologie musicali. Il loro primo EP, "Origami", conquista la commissione di Sanremo Rock, portandoli sul palco del People of Art (Modena) nel 2007. L'esperienza si conclude con il settimo posto alle finali nazionali. Seguono la pubblicazione del brano "Chiedi alla polvere" in una compilation distribuita dal Gruppo Mondadori e dal Corriere di Sicilia, e la partecipazione al concerto di beneficenza "Una Botta di vita" per Evio Botta. Nel 2009 esce il loro primo EP ufficiale, "Conti su Conti", con la traccia "John Ford" inclusa nella compilation vol.6 di Rockit. Collaborano con la RedEyeFilm di Genova e partecipano a un concerto multimediale in apertura ai Musica Nuda. Tra il 2010 e il 2011 realizzano spettacoli come "Moby Dick, l?Oceano e i relitti musicali", "R.a.e.D -Requiem aeternam dona", "S|pace - Monologo a due voci" e "Grand Theft Vidra". La formazione live si amplia con Davide Emanuele Zinna (chitarrista e videomaker) e Michela Coppola (violista). Nel 2012 tornano in studio per il nuovo album, partendo dal singolo "Cosa nasconde il cielo?", firmato insieme al cantautore Alessandro Orlando Graziano. Vincitori del Broken Stone Festival, aprono il concerto della Bandabardò a Contursi Terme.
