Die Funken fliegen und aus der Asche erhebt
sich wie Phönix eine Heldengestalt.Harrt aus, von dem Jüngling hört ihr schon bald.
In tiefes schwarz der gang getaucht,
Kaum atmen konnte ich noch. blind vorwärts
Und dann spürte ich ihn doch.
Ein rotes glühen, ein lauter schrei,
Er flammen nach mir warf.
