En Enero,
Vi a todo el mundo con sus resoluciones
Sus sueños
Con sus promesas de cambio
Vi como una madre divorciada tenia 2 empleos
Para lograr mantener a sus hijos
Y sacarlos aflote
Tambien vi como mi pueblo
Poco a poco
Iba perdiendo la tradicion de los 3 Santos Reyes
En Febrero,
Vi como personas celebraban el dia de San Valentin
Y se regalaban flores y chocolates
Cuando durante todo el año
Han sido hipocritas los unos con los otros
En Marzo,
Vi como una señora le dispararon 12 veces
Para robarle la guagua
Pero tambien vi
Como un niño de 7 años
Salvaba a su madre de un accidente automobilistico
En Abril,
Vi como confinados de una carcel del pais
Se amotinaron por las malas condiciones y el asinamiento
Y tambien vi
Como un ciudadano se desangro frente a un hospital
Por la falta de empleados y equipo.
En Mayo,
Vi como un padre orgulloso
Porque su hijo se graduaba de 4to año con honores
Habia sido admitido a una universidad en el extranjero
Y en Junio, y Julio
Los meses de verano
Aunque no me crean
Fui a mas funerales
Que a festivales playeros
Y vi madres llorando en las funerarias
Corona, gente derramando
Lagrimas de cocodrilo
La calle esta mala, mi hermano...
En Agosto,
Vi como las clases comenzaron,
Y vi escuelas que no tenian libros
vi chamaquitos sin uniforme
Maestros descontentos
un sistema educativo completamente inservible
Yo, vi miedo
En Septiembre,
Vi un hombre que asesino a su esposa
Y se suicido
Dejando a sus hijos huerfanos
Tambien vi a un funcionario del gobierno
Que era encarcelado por cargos de corrupcion
En Octubre,
Vi como una familia era desahuciada de su casa
Construida en terrenos del gobierno
Vi como un vecino mio era despedido de su trabajo
Por razones politicas
En Noviembre,
Vi como una familia celebraba el dia de Accion de Gracias
Con una opulenta cena
Cuando el dia de dar gracias a Dios
Son todos los dias
Cuando vi deambulantes que no tenian nada que comer
Nada porque celebrar
Y en Diciembre,
Cuando algunos estaban celebrando,
Vi una madre preocupada porque no tenia dinero
Para comprarle regalos a sus hijos
Y vi otra madre llorando
Porque era la primera navidad sin su hijo asesinado
Y en el fin de año,
Mientras los petardos sonaban
Vi a un niño en el suelo desangrandose
Por culpa de una bala perdida
Personas preparandose para comenzar un nuevo año

Y con el pasar de los meses me he dado cuenta...
Que pertenezco a la raza mas violenta del planeta...
Y asi como un tigre no mata a otro tigre...
