Clear Light è stata una band di rock psichedelico formatasi a Los Angeles nel 1966. Il gruppo era noto per il suo sound sperimentale e influenzato dal jazz, che li ha portati ad essere spesso associati ad altri artisti dell'etichetta Elektra Records come Love, Tim Buckley e soprattutto The Doors. Clear Light ha pubblicato un solo album in studio, "The Clear Light", nel 1968, che è diventato un classico del rock psichedelico. Il gruppo si è sciolto poco dopo la pubblicazione dell'album a causa di divergenze interne. Alcuni membri hanno continuato a collaborare con altri artisti della scena musicale californiana degli anni '70. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Clear Light ricordiamo "The Sun Is Shining", "I Can See" e "Love Song".
