Duke Robillard, stage name of Michael John Robillard, is an American musician born in 1950. Considered one of the most influential blues guitarists of the contemporary scene, he began his career playing in various local bands before collaborating with the Guild Guitar Company. In 1967, together with pianist Al Copley, he founded the Roomful of Blues group, a formation that contributed to reviving interest in traditional American blues. During the 1980s, Robillard joined The Fabulous Thunderbirds, replacing Jimmie Vaughan on guitar. With this band, he achieved international success, bringing his blues rock style to a wider audience. Besides blues, Robillard proves versatile in genres like jazz, swing and rock and roll. Among his most representative tracks are "I'm Ready", "Sweet Home Chicago" and "Blues for the Red Baron".
