Siebenburgen is a Swedish dark metal band formed in the 1990s. After a period of activity marked by some EPs and demos, the band released their debut album, "The Serpent's Embrace", in 2001. Their sound is characterized by dark atmospheres and melancholic melodies, influenced by classic black metal and doom metal. In 2006 Siebenburgen disbanded, but returned in 2007 with a new lineup and a new album in preparation.
