La Nitty Gritty Dirt Band è un gruppo musicale statunitense formatosi a Long Beach, California nel 1966. Considerati pionieri del country rock, hanno saputo mescolare influenze folk e bluegrass con sonorità più moderne, creando un sound originale e riconoscibile. Tra i membri fondatori si annoverano Jeff Hanna (voce, chitarra), Jimmie Fadden (batteria) e John McEuen (mandolino, banjo).
