Bobby Vee, stage name of Robert Thomas Velline (1943-2016), was an American singer and musician. Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Bobby Vee rose to fame in the 1960s with his pop rock style influenced by rhythm and blues. His success began after the accident involving The Everly Brothers during a concert in Minnesota, where Bobby Vee was asked to perform in their place.
