Maite Perroni Beorlegui (born March 9, 1983, in Guadalajara, Mexico) is a successful Mexican actress and singer. She began her career as a child actress, appearing in several commercials. Her breakthrough came in 2004 with the role of Lupita in the telenovela "Rebelde", which earned her immediate popularity throughout Latin America. After the success of Rebelde, Maite continued to play leading roles in other telenovelas such as "Cuna de Lobos" and "Mi Pecado". Parallel to her acting career, Maite has also achieved success as a musician. In 2004, she formed the group RBD with her fellow Rebelde cast members, which sold millions of records worldwide.
