H-Blockx is a German nu metal band. The band's name is a tribute to the participants of the 1981 Irish hunger strike held inside Her Majesty's Prison Maze, which was colloquially called "The H Blocks". The group gained popularity in the 1990s with their aggressive sound and metal influences.
