Lizzy Borden is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983. The band's name, as well as that of its frontman, Lizzy Borden, derives from Lizzie Borden, a woman accused of murder in the 19th century, in line with the shock rock attitude inspired by Alice Cooper. The band stands out for a heavy metal sound influenced by glam rock and horror punk, characterized by aggressive riffs, catchy melodies and dark lyrics. Among the most representative songs are «Master of the Night», «Me Against the World» and «Love You to Death». Lizzy Borden appeared in the documentary The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years. The lineup has undergone numerous changes over the years, with Joe Holmes (guitar) collaborating with David Lee Roth and Ozzy Osbourne, while Marten Andresson (bass) has played with Lynch Mob and Legacy.
