Active since 1970, he has collaborated with prominent artists such as The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Bob Dylan. Burnette is known for his blues-rock style influenced by country and soul music. Among his most representative songs are "The Way It Is", "I'm So Glad" and "You Don't Know Me".
