Romano is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician born in Palermo in 1985. After a long experience as a bassist and songwriter, he decides to embark on a solo project. He performs throughout Italy and Europe, winning important awards such as the "Premio De André" in 2016. He has collaborated with the band Tamuna, with whom he released two albums and won the Critics' Award and the "Best Interpretation" award at the Premio Andrea Parodi. He also won the SIAE "Sergio Endrigo" Prize with singer-songwriter Francesco Vannini, with whom he released an EP. In 2019 he begins working on his first solo album, produced by Lello Analfino (Tinturia) and artistically by Francesco Prestigiacomo. In 2021 he releases "Coniugi Arnolfini", a song that, taking its title from the famous painting by Van Eyck, tells the story of emigration as an intense moment of growth. Romano paints on a canvas of notes a story studded with accurate descriptions of objects, which inhabit an ideal apartment, an imaginary place, a symbol of reconciliation and resilience, but also of everyday normality, that normalcy that we miss so much in recent times. Versatile and complete, Romano is one of the best representatives of the new Italian songwriting scene.
