David Coverdale (nato il 22 settembre 1951 a Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire) è un cantante britannico di rock, famoso per il suo lavoro con la band hard rock inglese Deep Purple e successivamente con Whitesnake, di cui è l'unico membro originale rimasto. Coverdale ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60, cantando in diverse band locali prima di unirsi a Deep Purple nel 1973. Con la band, ha contribuito a registrare alcuni dei loro album più successi, tra cui "Burn" (1974) e "Stormbringer" (1974).
