I've been looking for shelter for a man
Walking in circles coming back again
Looking out your window waiting for a ride
May not be the sweetest woman
But I love the way you smile
Looks like I've been this way before
Knocking on the same old door
Tell me stranger have you seen
The door my baby tried
Well you can shake it, fake it
Make me felt, so fine
You can always tell a road rat
But you know you got to draw the line
Like satin or lace,
With a painted face
I get my loving
I leave no trace
You can drop a bomb
But it don't come free
If you want you
Can do it for me
Follow me down, follow me down
Down to Goldie's place see you there
(Break)
Give me perfume garter
Whitesnake is a British hard rock band formed in London in 1978. Founded by singer David Coverdale, former member of Deep Purple, the band has gone through several stylistic phases. Initially their sound was close to the blues rock of Deep Purple, then evolving towards a more accessible and commercial rock. Towards the end of the 1970s Whitesnake achieved international success with albums such as *Ready an' Willing* (1980), *Come an' Get It* (1981), *Saints and Sinners* (1982) and *Slide It In* (1984). Among the most representative songs are *Here I Go Again*, *Still of the Night* and *Fool for Your Loving*. In the 1990s, the band experienced a period of renewal with the entry of new members, including guitarist Reb Beach. Whitesnake continues to be active today, releasing new albums and embarking on international tours.
