Satyricon is one of the most influential and enduring Norwegian black metal bands. Founded in 1991 by Sigurd "Satyr" Wongraven and Kjetil "Frost" Haraldstad, the group has made a significant contribution to defining the genre in the 1990s. Their debut, the EP *All the Fools Are on Their Side*, dates back to 1994 and is considered a classic of Norwegian black metal.
