William Beau Burnette III, known as Billy Burnette, is an American singer and guitarist born in Memphis, Tennessee. Active since 1970, he has collaborated with prominent artists such as The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Bob Dylan. Burnette is known for his blues-rock style influenced by country and soul music. Among his most representative songs are "The Way It Is", "I'm So Glad" and "You Don't Know Me". In 1987 he released the album "Billy Burnette", which achieved moderate success. Burnette continues to perform and record music, maintaining a solid fan base.
