The Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup formed in the late 1980s, bringing together some of the biggest names in rock music. The group consisted of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison. The idea to form a project together came up during the recording sessions for George Harrison's solo album "Cloud Nine".
