Marc Bolan, born Mark Feld (London, September 30, 1949 – Kensington, September 16, 1977), was a British singer-songwriter and guitarist, considered one of the pioneers of glam rock. He began his musical career in the 1960s with the group Tyrannosaurus Rex, characterized by psychedelic and folk sounds influenced by progressive rock. In 1971, Bolan redefined the image of the group, adopting a more glam look and moving towards a more pop-rock sound. Success came with albums like *The Slider* (1972) and *Tanx!* (1973), which consecrated him as one of the key figures of the British glam rock movement. Bolan is known for his poetic songwriting, catchy melodies, and stage charisma. Among his most representative songs: "Get It On", "Children of the Revolution", "Metal Guru". His career was tragically cut short by a car accident in 1977.
