Chrisye (real name Dadang S.S.) was an Indonesian singer-songwriter and musician, considered one of the most important figures in Indonesian pop music. Born in Jakarta in 1949, Chrisye began his musical career in the 1970s, quickly gaining a large fanbase thanks to his unique vocal style and catchy melodies. His musical genre ranged from rock to easy listening, passing through folk pop. Among his most famous albums are *Senyawa*, *Akustik Chrisye* and *Dekade*. Chrisye was a very influential artist in Indonesia, collaborating with numerous musicians and nationally renowned artists. His music has transcended generations, remaining popular even after his death in 2007. Some of his most representative songs are: *Senyawa*, *Lilin-Lilin Kecil*, *Mungkinkah* and *Sepasang Mata Bola*.
