Krux è una band di doom metal svedese formatasi nel 1997 per iniziativa di Leif Edling, dopo lo scioglimento di Candlemass per la seconda volta, antecedente al loro tour di reunion. Edling, fondatore e bassista dei Candlemass, ha voluto dare vita a un progetto musicale più sperimentale e oscuro, mantenendo comunque le radici nel doom metal classico. Krux ha pubblicato tre album in studio: "The First Chapter" (1998), "The Second Chapter" (2000) e "The Third Chapter" (2003). La musica di Krux è caratterizzata da riff pesanti, atmosfere cupe e testi introspettivi. Il sound della band è influenzato dal progressive rock e dal gothic metal, con un'enfasi particolare sulla melodia e sull'utilizzo di tastiere. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The First Chapter", "The Second Chapter" e "The Third Chapter". Dopo lo scioglimento di Krux nel 2003, Leif Edling ha continuato a lavorare con altri progetti musicali.
