Jody Watley (born Jody Vanessa Watley on January 30, 1960) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Considered an icon of R and B and pop music in the 1980s, Watley rose to fame for her innovative musical style that blended elements of funk, soul, synth-pop, and jazz.
