Kris Delmhorst is an American singer-songwriter deeply rooted in the Boston folk scene. In 1998 she contributed to the production of the benefit album "Respond", dedicated to groups that deal with domestic violence, including her song "Weatherman". In 1999 she released a live album with The Vinal Avenue String Band, consisting of herself, Sean Staples and Ry Cavanaugh. She has also recorded five studio albums and two EPs. Currently residing in western Massachusetts, she is married to fellow singer/songwriter Jeffrey Foucault, with whom she had a daughter, Hazel, in 2008. In 2003 she collaborated with Foucault and Peter Mulvey for the album "Redbird".
