My, my, what a lovely day
Could it be that we've arrived in fair Magentalane?
There were times, many times
When I thought I wouldn't make it
I was quite prepared to take it like a man
But here I am
Aye, aye, bring our best champagne
We'll drink a toast, you and I, to fair Magantalane
Now let me see ... well, shouldn't I make a speech?
Or say something in Greek?
Perhaps recite a Browning poem?
But why? When the only thing that's on my mind
Is, it feels so good (feels so good)
It feels so good (feels so good)
It feels so good to be back at home
In Magentalane
where the sea of pink champagne flows
Magantalane
Under rosy coloured bainrows,
I mean "rainbows"
Yes, there were times, several times
I was sure I'd been defeated
As our hopes became depleted through the years
But now we're here
So if you please, it's time to take our leave
The road to liberty
Awaits us on the aerodrome incline
Gonna leave that bad old world behind
'Cause it feels so good (feels so good)
It feels so good (feels so good)
It feels so good to be back at home
Klaatu is a Canadian progressive rock group formed in 1973 by John Woloschuk and Dee Long. The band's name comes from the extraterrestrial character portrayed by Michael Rennie in the film *The Day the Earth Stood Still*. After releasing singles "Hanus Of Uranus/Sub-Rosa Subway" and "Dr. Marvello/For You Girl" on GRT Records, Klaatu was signed to Daffodil Records and its president Frank Davies. Their self-titled debut album, *Klaatu*, released in 1976, achieved commercial success in Canada and the United States thanks to the single "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft". The group continued to release albums until the late 1970s, characterized by a progressive sound with influences of psychedelic rock and synth-pop. Among Klaatu's most notable songs are "Anuncia", "The Great Escape" and "A Million Miles Away".

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
