Split Enz are a legendary New Zealand band formed in Auckland in 1972. Their sound, characterized by a mix of progressive rock, pop and new wave, captivated audiences both at home and abroad. The group was led by the voice and musical talent of Tim Finn, older brother of the celebrated Phil Finn (who later achieved success with Crowded House). Among their most famous songs are "I Got You", "Six Months In A Leaky Boat" and "Message To My Girl". Split Enz released numerous successful albums, including "Mental Notes" (1978) and "True Colours" (1980), solidifying their position as one of the most influential bands in New Zealand music. After a hiatus in the 1990s, the group reunited for some concerts in 2006, proving that their charm and music continue to resonate with new generations.
