Osvaldo Lenine Macedo Pimentel, known simply as Lenine, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer born in Recife in 1963. Considered one of the pillars of contemporary Brazilian popular music, Lenine began his successful musical career in the 1980s, blending influences such as samba, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), reggae, and bossa nova.
