BERT, real name Massimo Bartolo (Cesena, 1988), is an Italian singer-songwriter active since 2017. He began his musical training with the "Voice Evolution System", obtaining two certifications in Modern Singing. He then dedicated himself to self-learning, demonstrating sensitivity towards social issues through his performances in hospital facilities supported by the "Special Stage" charitable project. In 2018 he enrolled in Mogol's prestigious C.E.T. and his original song "Nei tuoi occhi" was selected for the anthology of the "Autori di Mogol" award, published that November. The song, available on digital platforms since March 2019, won among the top 10 winning songs of the PAE 2019 and was followed by "Crederai". In June 2019 BERT was a finalist at the Premio Lunezia in the "New Proposals" category with "Nei tuoi occhi", sharing the stage with artists like Nada, Enrico Nigiotti, Paolo Belli and Simone Cristicchi. In November 2019 he released the EP "Senza niente" for ALTI Records, containing the single of the same name. In 2021 he signed with Red Owl Records (sublabel of Visory Records/Thaurus) releasing "Caporeparto", followed by "Ci sarà" and "Fra tanti". The latter introspective song explores the discomfort caused by superficial social relationships, highlighting BERT's artistic versatility.
