Mary, Peggy, Betty, Julie rubias de New York
Deliciosas criaturas perfumadas
Carlos Gardel, born Charles Romuald Gardès on December 11, 1890 in Toulouse, France, was a French-Argentine singer, actor, and composer. Considered one of the pioneers of modern tango, he significantly contributed to the global spread of this musical genre. Gardel moved to Argentina in 1913, where he began his artistic career. His characteristic vocal style, powerful and melodic, combined with his stage charisma, quickly made him popular with the Argentine public. He collaborated with important tango composers like José Razzano and Eduardo Bianco, performing classics such as "Mi noche triste", "El día que me quieras" and "Por una cabeza". Gardel died tragically in a plane crash in 1935 at the age of 44. His musical legacy continues to inspire generations of artists and his name remains synonymous with tango.
