Ol' Dirty Bastard, stage name of Russell Tyrone Jones (1968-2004), was an American rapper considered one of the pioneers of the Wu-Tang Clan and an iconic figure in the hip hop scene of the 1990s. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jones distinguished himself for his rap style characterized by fast flows, intricate rhymes, and often provocative and self-destructive lyrics. His debut album, *Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version*, released in 1995, is considered a classic of the genre. Ol' Dirty Bastard collaborated with numerous artists, including Method Man, RZA, and Ghostface Killah, contributing to defining the Wu-Tang Clan's sonic identity. Among his most famous tracks are *Shimmy Shimmy Ya*, *Brooklyn Zoo*, and *Got Your Money*. His life was marked by personal and legal problems, which culminated in his tragic death at the age of 35.
