Harry Lillis Crosby Jr., known as Bing Crosby, was a legendary American singer, actor, and comedian. Born in Tacoma, Washington, in 1903, Crosby dominated the music and film scene of the 1930s and 1940s. His warm and melodious voice, coupled with his natural charisma, made him one of the most beloved artists of all time. Crosby sold over a billion records worldwide, achieving numerous hits such as "White Christmas", "Swinging on a Star" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas". Besides music, Crosby starred in numerous successful musical films, including "Holiday Inn" (1942) and "Going My Way" (1944), for which he won an Oscar for Best Actor. His influence on popular music was immense, helping to define the crooning style and inspiring generations of artists.
