Ferdi Tayfur (born Ferdi Tayfur Turanbayburt, November 15th, 1945) is a Turkish arabesque singer, actor and composer. Born in Istanbul, Tayfur began his musical career in the 1960s, singing in nightclubs around the city. Besides music, Tayfur has also ventured into acting, starring in several successful films.
