Brian Culbertson (born January 12, 1973) is an American smooth jazz musician and instrumentalist from Decatur, Illinois. Son of jazz band director and trumpeter Jim Culbertson, Brian plays the keyboard and trombone. He began playing music at age five and studied at the Berklee College of Music. Culbertson is known for his musical style that blends elements of jazz, funk, R and B, and soul. He has released numerous successful albums, collaborating with artists such as Kenny Loggins, David Sanborn, and Michael McDonald.
