Berryz Koubou is a Japanese idol girl group formed in 2004 under the Hello! Project label. The group, consisting of five members (Momoko Ogawa, Yurina Kumai, Miyabi Natsukawa, Chinami Hirooka and Mai Hagiwara), achieved great popularity in Japan thanks to their catchy pop music style and energetic choreography. Their songs, almost all written by producer Tsunku, are characterized by sweet and carefree lyrics that have won over a young audience.
