Life has been the same for a long time
Go to scholl and witness the crimes
Go home and see it on the evening news
Then we got nothing to do
If there were a concert we would go
Usually end up watching the prime time shows
Hours in front of a t.v. set
We're as idle as teens can get
Teen Idles, Teen Idles
Fuckin' bored to tears
Teen Idles, Teen Idles
Waste of 20 Years
Teen Idles, Teen Idles
Doin' nothing all day
Teen Idles, Teen Idles
Nothing to do anyway
Hanging out at the record shops
Go to a concert the boredom stops
Went to the Bavou they said "no"
You're not 18 you can't see the show
Went to a movie it was o.k.
Don't want to do it everyday
Hours in front of a t.v. set
We're as idle as teens can get
Teen Idles were one of the first and most important hardcore punk and straight edge bands to emerge from the Washington scene in the 1980s. Formed in 1980, the band released two EPs for Dischord Records, a label fundamental to the history of the hardcore movement. Among the founding members were Ian MacKaye and Jeff Nelson, who would later form Minor Threat, another iconic band in the punk scene. Teen Idles are considered precursors to the Washington hardcore sound, influencing generations of bands with their fast, aggressive music and their stances against alcohol and drugs. Some of their most representative tracks include "Minor Threat", "The Problem" and "I Don't Wanna Be Your Friend". Despite the short lifespan of the band, Teen Idles left an indelible mark on the history of punk rock.

My favorite group when I was just a teenager were the Fugees, thanks to them a certain curiosity about english language was born in me. I wanted to know and understand the lyrics of their songs, it wasn't enough for me to be carried away exclusively by their beautiful music.
Sweden and the United States are two countries far from each other, thousands of kilometers separate them, the language, culinary and sporting traditions, I don't feel so categorical about the landscapes, not knowing all of America there may be states that have the same reliefs of the country of northern Europe, but on one thing I am sure
