Paul Lorin Kantner (San Francisco, 16 marzo 1941 – San Rafael, 28 gennaio 2016) è stato un chitarrista, cantante e compositore statunitense, considerato uno degli artefici del rock psichedelico. Kantner è noto soprattutto per essere stato membro fondatore dei Jefferson Airplane, gruppo con cui ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '60. Dopo lo scioglimento del gruppo, ha formato i Jefferson Starship, continuando a incidere musica di successo fino alla fine degli anni '80. Kantner era un artista poliedrico e impegnato politicamente, noto per le sue canzoni che affrontavano temi sociali e politici. Tra i suoi brani più celebri figurano "Somebody to Love", "Volunteers" e "White Rabbit". Nel corso della sua carriera ha collaborato con artisti come Grace Slick, Marty Balin e David Freiberg.
