James Murphy è un musicista, produttore discografico e DJ statunitense, noto soprattutto come fondatore del gruppo LCD Soundsystem. Nato a New York nel 1967, Murphy ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '90 come DJ e produttore per diverse etichette indipendenti.
