Ultravox sono un gruppo musicale britannico di new wave formatosi a Londra nel 1973. Originariamente chiamati Ultravox! (con il punto esclamativo), il nome richiamava quello del gruppo tedesco Neu!. Dopo i primi due album, hanno eliminato il punto esclamativo. Il loro sound si è evoluto dal progressive rock iniziale ad un synth-pop più elettronico e melodico, influenzando profondamente la scena new wave degli anni '80. Il gruppo ha raggiunto il successo internazionale con l'album *Vienna* (1980), che include i singoli "Vienna", "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes" e "The Voice”.
