Area Cronica Entertainment was a musical collective and record label founded by Sottotono in 1996 in Novara. The group gathered around itself an entourage of artists from various Italian hip hop realities, including those from Turin, Milan and Sardinia, as well as singers Jasmine and Eva. Among the most important collaborations are Articolo 31, Brusco, DJ Enzo, Don Joe, Fritz da Cat, Irene Lamedica, La Pina and Neffa. Area Cronica reached its peak of popularity between 1996 and 1999, to then dissolve around 2000 due to financial problems. Despite the short duration, Area Cronica was considered one of the most influential realities of the '90s, alongside Spaghetti Funk, laying the foundations for contemporary collectives such as Dogo Gang and TruceKlan. Among the representative songs we remember "My Life", "There's No Time" and "My Name Is Area Cronica".
