The Authors United are a group of artists and authors who have come together to give voice to the artistic and authorial sector, which has been severely hit by the pandemic. The project was born from the idea of Enzo Leomporro and Gianni Donzelli, known as Audio 2, who composed a song focused on the importance of the author in the world of music, cinema, television and entertainment in general. To this end, they invited thirteen artists who are authors of songs and television authors to participate in the project: Eugenio Bennato, Sergio Cammariere, Bobby Solo, Gigi and Ross, Mariella Nava, Tony Esposito, Pietra Montecorvino, Davide De Marinis, Luisa Corna, Franco Simone, Mimmo Cavallo, Franco Fasano and Carmine Faraco. The group aims to raise public awareness about the importance of the role of authors in the Italian cultural landscape.
