
Marian Georgiou is an international musical artist born in Nicosia, Cyprus, but residing in Athens, Greece. After studying music at the Conservatory of Athens and law at the National University of Athens, she honed her vocal skills at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. A multilingual singer (Italian, Greek, English, and Spanish), she has been nominated four times to represent Greece and Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest. Her musical career took off in 2007 with a dance version of a traditional Cypriot song, "Ta Rialia", created in collaboration with Valentino, Christodoulos Siganos, and Nikos Souliotis. The single, released by Minos-EMI/Universal, reached the top positions of the music charts in Greece and the Balkans. In 2011 she made her international debut with "November", the English version of 'Novembre' brought to success by Giusy Ferreri. The song, distributed by Interscope Records, was a hit in Italy, Switzerland, France, and other European countries. In 2012 she released her first Italian album, "Abbracciami - Afto ine agapi", which introduced her to the Italian music scene with several collaborations. Among her most significant collaborations are Pietro Cremonesi (author of "La solitudine" by Laura Pausini) and Josh Page (member of the 'Forte Tenors'). In 2019 she worked with Francesco Boccia, an Italian songwriter known for writing "Grande amore" by Il Volo. Marian has also collaborated with Mario Frangoulis, Gigi D'Alessio, Kalliopi Vetta, and Francesca Maionchi. She also had the honor of working with Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis, performing one of his great successes in a celebratory album that included artists like Milva, Irene Papas, and Melina Mercouri. Currently, Marian is working on various international projects, including the soundtrack and songs for the new international film "74".
