Nurse With Wound is a British musical project founded in 1978 by Steven Stapleton. Initially a trio with John Fothergill and Heman Pathak, since 1981 it has become Stapleton's solo project. Considered pioneers of noise music, Nurse With Wound is characterized by the use of experimental sounds, sound collages and unsettling atmospheres. The band's music spans drone, ambient, industrial and musique concrète, often with Dadaist and surrealist influences.
