My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult is an American musical group formed in Chicago in 1987 by Groovie Mann (artist and performer) and Buzz McCoy (musician). Initially, they wanted to make a horror film titled "My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult", but the lack of resources pushed them to focus on the soundtrack. Their sound, a mix of dance rhythms, movie dialogue, dark instruments and distorted vocals, caught the attention of Wax Trax Records, home to artists like Ministry, Front 242 and KMFDM. In 1988 they released their first album, "I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits", a dark and unsettling work. Over time, the band transformed into a real musical group with the addition of other musicians from Chicago's underground music scene. From 1989 onwards, they began performing live, becoming one of the most important groups in the American industrial/goth/rock movement. Among their most representative songs: "After The Flesh", "Jesus Built My Hotrod" and "The Devil's Got A New Dress".
