war ich meistens aller Wunder bar,
und ich musste schmerzhaft oft erfahren,
dass nur selten etwas Wunder war.
Meistens schon am nächsten schweren Morgen,
schweren Kopfes, schwer verwirrt,
wusste ich, beschwert von Sorgen:
Hab´ mich wieder mal in dunkler Nacht verirrt.
Später dann, nach viel durchlebten Toden,
hab´ ich mich dem Wunder ganz versagt.
Bin erklärbaren Modellen und auch Moden
ohne Tiefe hinterhergejagt.
Aber tief im Inner´n war etwas verborgen,
was sich nicht betäuben und verstecken ließ,
eine Hoffnung auf ein unerhörtes Morgen,
auf ein unerschloss´nes Paradies,
so als würd' etwas im Inner´n thronen,
was sich außen niemals offenbart,
nicht in Diademen, nicht in Königskronen,
eine Schönheit völlig andrer Art.
Auf der Suche nach dem Wunderbaren
ließ ich mich oft auf Verblendung ein,
manchmal aber durfte ich erfahren,
diesem Wunderbaren eins zu sein.
Und es ist kein Traum und auch kein Ort
und schon gar kein Taschenspielertrick,
es ist Klang und Ton, gelebtes Wort,
es ist einzig deine Sicht. dein Blick!
Ja - es ist der unbekannte Morgen
und das unerschloss´ne Paradies,
nicht zu kaufen und nicht mal zu borgen,
dieser Schlüssel zu dem dunkelsten Verlies,
das dein Herz und deine ungesung´nen Lieder
fest gefangen hält durch Wahn und Zwang.
