We Are Scientists are a rock band formed in Berkeley, California in 2000. The original lineup consisted of Keith Murray on drums, Chris Cain on bass guitar, and Scott Lamb on vocals and guitar. Michael Tapper later joined as drummer, while Keith took over as vocalist and guitarist. Their breakthrough came with their second album *With Love and Squalor*, which sold 100,000 copies in the first six months.
