Billy wants to be a rock star, (hey hey hey)
Billy wants to be a rock star, (hey hey hey)
Thinks about it every night and day. (hey hey hey)
Everyday in the lime light, (hey hey hey)
And she says she's gonna make it some day.
Backbeat says, Everybody loves her,
Everybody, everybody loves her.
Backbeat says, this is her passion.
Feels so good tonight, everything is alright,
The marketing plan is right.
And EMI is very nice,
But they are all tired.
Hey hey hey.
Tammy works in a diner, (hey hey hey)
She wants to be in the movie action.
She wants to move to the big city,
Everybody thinks she's pretty.
Backbeat says, Everybody loves her,
Everybody, everybody loves her.
Backbeat says, this is her passion.
Feels so good tonight, everything is alright,
The marketing plan is right.
And EMI is very nice,
But they are all tired.
Some say it's easy to be Billy,
To be Tammy cuz they're stars.
But's it's a journey,
It takes you all around the world.
Feels so good tonight, everything is alright,
The marketing plan is right.
And EMI is very nice,
But they are all tired.
Feels so good tonight, everything is alright,
The marketing plan is right.
And EMI is very nice,
But they are all tired.

The second album, "Sugar" (2000), solidified their success with songs like «Whatcha Gonna Do About It» and «I'll Be There». After the release of their third album, "The Moffatts 3", in 2001, the group disbanded. The Moffatt brothers went on to pursue individual music careers.
