I Max Webster sono stati un gruppo musicale rock progressivo canadese attivo tra il 1973 e il 1982. Formazioni diverse hanno visto Kim Mitchell come cantante principale, accompagnato da Pye Dubois (chitarra), Gerry James (basso) e Neil Landon (batteria). Il nome del gruppo deriva da una canzone di Daryl Stuermer intitolata "Song for Webster", dove Mitchell suonava la chitarra. La canzone era ispirata al sassofonista Ben Webster. I Max Webster hanno raggiunto un notevole successo in Canada con album come "Max Webster" (1976) e "Universal Juveniles" (1978), caratterizzati da sonorità progressive, influenze hard rock e testi poetici. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The Stars Are Blind", "Gimme A Little Sign", "A Million Miles Away" e "I'm Not The One".
