i was floating around the atmosphere
i liked what i saw so i came down here
i was looking for something, looking for something
and the sky came up to meet with me
magnetic forces greeted me
i was looking for something, looking for something
i'm a superhuman 3-d baby
a hollywood brainchild to drive you crazy
and i'm coming your way real soon
i'm the catwoman from the moon
now peace and love like a willow tree
have hung their heads and wept for me
and i'm looking for someone, looking for someone
so earth, don't you betray me
i'm willing to have your baby
are you looking for someone, looking for someone
i'm a superhuman 3-d baby
a hollywood brainchild to drive you crazy
and i'm coming your way real soon
i'm the catwoman from the moon
Shakespears Sister is a British musical duo formed in London during the 1980s. The original duo consisted of Siobhan Fahey, an Irish singer and songwriter previously known for her work with Bananarama, and Marcella Detroit, an American musician. Their debut album, "Sacred Heart", was released in 1990 and included the international hits "Stay" and "Hello (Turn Away)", both of which reached music charts worldwide. After Detroit's departure, Fahey continued to develop the Shakespears Sister project as a solo artist, collaborating with various musicians from the British indie scene. Their second album, "Hormonally Yours" (1994), further solidified the group's success, with tracks like "You're History" and "I Don't Want Your Love" achieving significant popularity. Shakespears Sister is known for its electronic and pop music, characterized by catchy melodies, introspective lyrics, and an innovative sound for the time.
