Cage the Elephant è un gruppo rock americano proveniente da Bowling Green, Kentucky. Originariamente conosciuti come "Perfect Confusion", il loro successo è arrivato con il singolo "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked", che ha raggiunto la posizione numero 32 nella classifica britannica e figurava nel videogioco Borderlands di Gearbox Software. Dopo aver esibito al South by Southwest music festival del 2007, hanno firmato con EMI Records e si sono trasferiti a Londra, Inghilterra. Nel 2007 hanno esordito al Lollapalooza di Chicago, tornando al festival nel 2009 e partecipando anche all'Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival di San Francisco il 30 agosto 2009. Prima del loro ritorno al Lollapalooza, la band ha suonato due volte al Bonnaroo Music Festival, rispettivamente a giugno 2007 e 2009.
