Dalida (Iolanda Cristina Gigliotti), born in Cairo on January 17, 1933 and died in Paris on May 3, 1987, was an Italian-born French singer and actress. Considered one of the greatest voices of the 20th century, she sold over 170 million records worldwide. Dalida began her musical career in the 1950s, singing Italian and French songs. Her international success came with the album "Salomé" (1968), which included the song "Bambino", a global classic. Dalida collaborated with some of the greatest composers of the time, including Charles Aznavour, Luigi Tenco and Ennio Morricone.
