Ich hänge an des Mauers Vorsprung
Hangle mich am Sims entlang
Hoch empor an der Fassade
Bis es schließlich mir gelang
Greifen nach des Fensters Läden
Werkzeug Fingerfertigkeit
Das Schloss bricht, ich husch wie ein Schatten
Und die Beute hängt nicht weit.
So schleiche ich durch dunkle Gänge
Vorbei an manchem Schlafgemach
Die Hausbesitzer schlafen selig
Ich allein bin hier noch wach
Da hängt das Objekt der Begierde
